Currently we partner with The Family Tree, Family Promise, and Aurora Housing Authority. Each cares for homeless families by providing them with a combination of services, including emergency shelter, meals and supportive skills on their path to self-sufficiency. We work directly with case workers who help us understand each family’s unique need and how we can provide furniture and needed items to best serve them.

Yes! In December of 2015 we received our official 501c3 status. All of your item and cash donations are 100% tax-deductible. If you have donated to House of Light, you will receive a tax exempt form for your taxes.

Yes! You can donate securely thouht PayPal using the box at the bottom of this page under Support House of Light. When you enter an amount and click Donate, it will take you out of our site to complete the process securely through PayPal. If you prefer, you can send a check in the mail to our mailing address: P.O. Box 461316, Aurora, CO 80046-1316

Lastly, you can also link up with Amazon Smile where 5% of every Amazon purchase will be donated back to House of Light. Be sure to choose House of Light, Inc., as there are other organizations on Amazon Smile called House of Light.

At this time we are only working with The Family Tree, Family Promise, and Aurora Housing Authority (see above). This provides us with the protection that a third party shelter provides. If you know of a woman or family who needs assistance, please consider contacting one of our partners. We cannot say enough wonderful things about each one!

Volunteers who work with House of Light are a key part of the process, helping to organize, load and unload furniture and household items for the families and individuals we serve. Currently, there are two Volunteer options—Giving Days and Sorting Days. Monthly Giving Days held the second Friday of each month, August-May from 9:00 am-12:00pm. Sorting Days held on Saturday mornings throughout the year. To learn more and receive invitations to participate in either of these opportunities, please contact us.
